I'm Emil Lombardo, an Argentinian photographer now based in London, with my projects reaching out to places like Paris and Buenos Aires. Initially starting as a self-taught artist, I dedicated years to refining my skills and deepening my understanding of photography before deciding to take it to the next level with a Photography MA at the Royal College of Art, from which I graduated in 2021.
My work predominantly focuses on social issues that underscore the intricacies of the human condition. Through my lens, I aim to illuminate the complexities and interconnections within society, touching on critical themes like body politics, visibility, and the myriad intersections of identity—gender, sexuality, immigration, race, and socio-economic status.
More recently, I've begun to pivot towards photojournalism, driven by a desire to apply my narrative skills to current events and pressing issues. I'm eager to expand the reach of my work, hoping to capture and engage a wider audience with stories that matter.
